Worship Preparation

Worship Preparation – Sunday, April 13, 2014

1. Ways to use this worship preparation:
• Print it out Friday and place it in your bible for the weekend
• Use it as a family devotion and time of prayer on Saturday evening.

2. Read sermon text: Matthew 21:1-11

3. Read sermon summary: This week we will be celebrating Palm Sunday, and studying the triumphal entry in the book of Matthew. As you read this passage, you will be confronted by a clear picture of the Messiah. He is fulfilling the prophecies associated with the messiah, being called the names given to the messiah, and being declared to be salvation itself. What will we make of this King? What kind of Kingdom did he come to establish? What were the crowds thinking? We will seek to answer all of these questions as we study together this Sunday.

4. Consider the following song and it’s relationship to the sermon:

Praise is rising
Eyes are turning to You
We turn to You
Hope is stirring
Hearts are yearning for You
We long for You

'Cause when we see You
We find strength to face the day
In Your presence
All our fears are washed away
Washed away

Hosanna hosanna
You are the God who saves us
Worthy of all our praises
Hosanna hosanna
Come have Your way among us
We welcome You here Lord Jesus

Hear the sound of
Hearts returning to You
We turn to You
In Your Kingdom
Broken lives are made new
You make us new
