Worship Preparation: January 19, 2014

Worship Preparation – Sunday, January 19, 2014

1. Ways to use this worship preparation:
• Print it out Friday and place it in your bible for the weekend
• Use it as a family devotion and time of prayer on Saturday evening.

2. Read sermon text: Ephesians 3:1-13

3. Read sermon summary: This week we will have the chance to hear from Steve Perdue about their ministry in Asia. We will begin our time together thinking about our call to missions, and the display of God's wisdom in the world through the church, as described in Ephesians. Then, we will hear from Steve about their call to missions, their current efforts, and what they hope to accomplish in the future.

4. Consider the songs and their relationship to the sermon:

Let Your Kingdom Come
Let Your kingdom come
Let Your will be done
So that everyone might know Your Name
Let Your song be heard everywhere on earth
Till Your sovereign work on earth is done
Let Your kingdom come

Your glorious cause O God
Engages our hearts
May Jesus Christ be known
Wherever we are
We ask not for ourselves but for Your renown
The cross has saved us so we pray
Your kingdom come

Give us Your strength O God
And courage to speak
Perform Your wondrous deeds
Through those who are weak
Lord use us as You want whatever the test
By grace we'll preach Your Gospel
Till our dying breath

You Alone Can Rescue
And You alone can rescue
You alone can save
You alone can lift us from the grave
You came down to find us led us out of death
To You alone belongs the highest praise

Who O Lord could save themselves
Their own soul could heal
Our shame was deeper than the sea
Your grace is deeper still

You O Lord have made a way
The great divide You healed
For when our hearts were far away
Your love went further still
Yes Your love goes further still
